Default Can't close or save or operate PT

Nothing works in my PT 7.3. Will not let me close PT or turn off computer.

This is the message I get: "\code\azuki_Cliff\AlturaPorts\SDKs\Neo61\Source\C NeoIOBlock.ccp", line 164

Drivin' me nuts. All I can do is unplug the comp.

This has affected every session I have ever done on this system. this has never happened before. Again, the message is Cannot close session due to a Neo Assertion in "\code\azuki_Cliff\AlturaPorts\SDKs\Neo61\Sour ce\C NeoIOBlock.ccp", line 164.

It happens on all sessions and it happens on the backups too. It's compromised a project that is a year in the making, over 100 hours of work and it has compromised everything I have recorded in the last 7 years.

Nothing seems to work. I am ruined if I can't resolve this issue.

The info you posted is not the typical Sandra report we need to see. Dell's are a crapshoot(except for the handful of approved models). And, we need to know what interface too Too many Dell's have an incompatible FW controller(possible issue #1), onboard graphics(possible issue #2), you might have the wrong OS version(Sandra report?).

More thoughts; is this a new system that has never worked(yet) or was all working fine a week ago, and now gone to crap?(if its the later, does the computer connect to the internet?) Maybe you got a virus, trojan or other malware. Are you using drive imaging to give you a backup/recovery plan(you NEED to, but it may too late this time)? Are all your sessions backed up to another spare drive(if not, boy, do you like to tempt fate)

I found a database folder that was not deleted. Didn't lose anything. My FW controller is the correct one for PT, has the correct chipset. Not connected to internet. Seems to open and operate sessions normally. I'm setting up mirroring now as I have another black drive. Onboard graphics and font smoothing has been optimized. Went through the opto guide from Avid again.I'm using a separate hardware profile at startup.

Not sure why this happened. Haven't really changed anything in about 3 years.

Thanks Albee1952

Have you tried holding SHIFT whilst opening the session to disable all plugins

If it then opens you can assume its a plugin issue.
