Default MCDSP Plugins

Hello all, I tried to use the MCDSP Demo of Analog One plugs, however when I go to insert I don't see the Analog One. After searching their website and checking compatibility I found that the MCDSP plugs have not been tested with AMD proc's nor do they gaurantee them of the AMD platform. Of course, I using a AMD XP 2500. My question is is anyone having success with the MCDSP plugs with an AMD proc. If so what speed? Thanks.

Yeah, I tried all of the demos on my 2600+ when they first came out with no problems. But I'm a little confused about the plugin that you are having problems with; is it analog channel? or synthesizer one? (I think you're confusing the names there.)

Some plugins are stereo only; have you tried looking for it on a stereo track?
Some plugins are mono only; if that is the case, and you're trying to use it on a stereo track, have you tried looking on the multi-mono menu?

Sorry, I mean Analog channel (AC1). I tried on stereo/mono. No luck.

So you loaded the demo authorization on your iLok, installed the AC plugin into it's default location on the hard drive, and it isn't showing up? That doesn't sound right. I'd contact McDSP about that. They're very helpful.

Something similar happened to me. I bought Analog Channel and installed the software - version 2.5, I think it was at the time - anyway, No plugs showed up in the plugins menu. I was extremely disappointed that night.

I called them the next day, and their "Windows Guy" had heard from 1 other customer the same problem as me.

He then provided a link to Version 2.4 from their website and BAM!!!! everything worked as it should have. GREAT SUPPORT EXPERIENCE, by the way!!!!

I don't know about 2.6. Maybe the problem still exists for windows users with this version. Ask them about others who might have the same install problem.

If it is fixed, I wouldn't mind updating to version 2.6 myself.

Hope this helps,

GregJ

This is correct. The Barton Core XPs have issues with 2.6...2.4 is workaround.

2.6 works great on my Athlon64 3700+
