Default Avid Pro Audio Community doesn't look so Pro

Is this community even run by AVID or completely run by users?

It looks like 1990 and there's so many limitations while at the same time it's the only friggin support pro tools users rely on. I can't even upload a picture.

Caman man!

Dude, were you even alive in 1990? If this was the internet in 1990, it would be a Usenet Newsgroup, run on a dial up modem. The Web barely even a thing in 1990. And it was monochrome anyway.

There's lots of professional users on this forum.

"I can't even upload a picture." Probably more of lack on knowledge of possibilities in 2021, than an actual forum issue

HAHAH you are such a lame person ....

Forums are for users to interact and there are moderators assigned by Avid who monitor the posts and help whenever someone has a question so it's both users and Avid Reps ...

you have to learn your away around your computer to upload a picture and this is one of the best forums all over the internet that I always rely on and made me learn everything I wanted to learn

Peace

You got that right. I got my first email in 1988 (monochrome UNIX terminal connection), WWW itself was launched in 1991 and Windows finally got TCP/IP stack as default in W95 but before that it was a UNIX geek thing. In 1995 AOL had about 3 million users, or 1% population of USA.

Also in 1995 the most common device connecting to internet was V.32bis (14.4kbit/s = 1.8kB/s) modem that took ages to connect and was charged by the second.

Ahem... In 1994 the only WWW-based forum was W3C consortium ran in Finland. Fact, check it out if you like. Forums as we know it started in 1998 +/- one year (and DUC was one of the first).

hehe maybe so, it was exciting times, the beginning of the world we know today, our pc was a monochrome IBM laptop with 60MB harddrive and a CPU with two clock speeds, 5 or 15 Mhz. Windows 3.11. Lovely machine. Had it all, Microsoft Works.

I guess the increased use of slack and work chat during the pandemic made me lazy with not being able to drag and drop screenshots onto the chat..

Well, enough bashing. Maybe I'll try imgur or maybe ill put a link to my own nas.

Yeah, better leave it here. You are talking to a dinosaur that in 1984 tried to make music with Commodore64 SID that had whopping 3-voice polyphony and master volume in 16 steps. Lovely 8-bit stuff.
