Default Re: Big Sur or Monterey for Protools 2022.5?

I usually do a fresh OS X install to a new SSD, Samsung SSD for me. It is a labor of love, easier when I had a Mac Pro Tower, 5,1. But I have a Mac Pro 6,1 so I just buy a SSD from OWC. They have a case for the old one. It is the time needed to reinstall everything, but I call this, “the great purge”. I admit, less as the-years go by, I have bought plugins I thought I needed and barely used. So they don’t get reinstalled. I just finished my move to Monterey 12.4.

I'm on a MacPro7,1 and was using Catalina until very recently. I upgraded to Big Sur and then to Monterey purely to get the ability to output 5.1 and Atmos (respectively) from Apple Music. I kinda hate the UI changes but, I haven't had any problems with Pro Tools or any of the other software I use regularly (perhaps some of the older stuff has fallen off the wagon).

The only glitch I noticed was often having to reinstall the UAD and HD drivers after OS updates.
