Default Video Sat LE not happy with H264

I'm running PT 8.0Cs2LE as a Video Satellite on an 2.8Mhz 8 core MacPro with a Decklink HD card. After a short time the video just can't keep up. These are low res, standard def movies. Is this normal?

For serious video playback is it better to set up an HD rig with a the Decklink HD video card and go PT HD Satellite instead?

i don't use satellite but in my experience any highly compressed codec like h264 will give you poor performance compared to something like photojpeg. obviously the file size will be significantly larger.
