Upgraded to PT7 - now it doesnt work - Core 2 Duo

My new laptop has a dual processor. My pro tools 6.8.2 didnt work unless i entered the bios and selected to use only 1 processor, instead of 2. This is becuase aparantly dual processors are only supported on PT version 7 onwards. so i upgraded to 7 today, and installed ok. But PT wont work anymore, whether i am using one processor or two. It just comes up with the H/W Buffer error. What do i have to do!!?

Could be your laptop specifications.

Heard some dual core owners had to disengage 1 processor to get PT to work. Which is reason I'm waiting til bugs are worked out b4 upgrading my laptop P4-m.

iv tried disengaging a processor, same result. im gunna have to go back to 6.8.2 in the mean time, until someone can help

What is the error number in that message?

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x/7.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.
