core Audio Driver 1.2 Problem

It seems you have to launch protools before you launch ichat, entourage etc or you get a unable to launce dae deck.. can anyone else confirm this? thx... [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

As the core drivers are used by many other applications to output their sound, you have to be sure all other applications have completely released the core drivers in order for PT to work. This driver is not a multi-client driver. Only one application at a time. Quick question, why do you have all those programs running on your PT machine anyway?

My problem is: if I´m downloading the driver it is only 335 kb (not 1.5Mb) and if I try to install it it says that there is no file for updating.

I 'm not taking about the actually going to sound and selecting the core audio driver.. I leave the sound to the normal internal selection... Did not have thisa problem with the past two releases of the core audio driver. Since i'm not selecting it in the system prefs, and applications are using internal sound, opening protools should not be a problem and was not before this 1.2 download. Also note that if i open protools FIRST then I can open the other apps and protools works fine. This is a new problem since 1.2, never had it before... thx.. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

To me it's not a problem,using protools with no other apps running or vice versa
