Default best way to go back to 7.3.1cs6 from 7.4?

Hi,

I want to go back to 7.3.1cs6. What´s he best way to do this without re-installing everything? Clean de-install 7.4 and then install 7.3.1 plus cs over what´s on the drive?

thanks,

frank

Hi Frank.
I don't any other solution than "de-install 7.4 and then install 7.3.1". But I would like why you want to return to 7.3.1.

do you mean just the PT de- and re-install or the whole system incl. plugs authorizations etc etc?

thanks!

why? because of all the issues i´m having (see my recent posts) incl. jittery QT playback, ultra-slow behaviour when re-cutting etc.

Oh! I see. I didn't think in the task related with re-instaling many plugins.
Do you believe that "ultra-slow behaviour when re-cutting" could be related with linked media?
Is your system much responsive if audio media is in the Audio Files folder of the session your are editing?
Just a question.

The only thing that changed is the version of PT. My workflow did not so I want to go back because 7.4 slows me down, doesn´t play my picture like 7.3.1 did and I don´t care about elastic audio.
I´ve been through weeks of testing writing endless postings on the DUC and repeating those postings in e-mails to digi. Since I can not test any further I am simply looking for the most painless way to go back to 7.3.1.

So let me re-phrase my question:

Is it possible to do the following:

-Do a clean-de-install of 7.4 and do a re-install of only PT7.3.1 or do I have re-install all the plugs after that?
I´ve never gone back a version so I´m wondering...

frank.

you shouldn't need to reinstall your plugs but be ready to just in case (Murphyisum)
