Use of USD - Part II
Thank you all for responding to my question about the use of the USD. I am still a little confused though. Most answers came from the point of view of using the USD in post environment. I however use it only for music purposes. So, is there ANY advantage in installing the USD software at all?
Thanks, Redsandblu |

Re: Use of USD - Part II
Reds and Blu,
You say you use Pro Tools for music only, but you don't say what other devices you might be using. Basically, you need the USD if you want to generate SMPTE or if you need Pro Tools to chase external SMPTE. The same goes for word clock, if you have devices that need to receive word clock or that spit out word clock, the USD would come in to play there. |
