White Noise Bursts in PT9
Am I first on the block with random white noise bursts? I monitor quietly so no damage except to my enthusiasm for switching PT on. I'm running W7 64bit professional on an ASUS P6X58D E with 6g of OCZ 1600 and WD 1Tb Black audio and Vertex 60g ssd system. 003 factory at the front. I initially spent a day wrestling the install then went for a clean OS reinstall and full PT9 on that.
Anyone else??

Working fine here. Trashing prefs can't hurt. Also, check for updated drivers for everything on your system(starting with the 003 drivers). You may need to update ilok and midi drivers as well(but I wouldn't think those would cause noise blasts).

Perhaps the PT9 forum?
Sounds like this happened with the first 8 update and got fixed.

Early 8.0.3 was the last time I've seen this. Are you sure it's not a demo plug-in warning?

Thanks for the responses guys. I only put PT9 on the machine on Friday. Clean W7 install with nothing else on the machine. I put the new 003 drivers on as per the instructions. I've got the updated factory plug ins ....... only one instance of those looked a bit iffy as it installed ... Hybrid 1.5.4 update. I'll trash the prefs as you suggest and take that plug off. Funny thing I recall is that I tried to install Melodyne essential and it installed and was seen by PT, but when you open it in a track it doesn't see the waveform or the bar grids ... its blank. Since then the WNBs. I might just start again, anyway I'll post the outcome in case it helps someone else. (I've got a ticket out with Melodyne so something may come of that)

 . BTW, Melodyne Editor is working well in PT9.
