Signal Path

So , Asking you TDM guys & girls for advise.
I can't afford a Mix or Hd system right now , so i am planning on trading my ))! in tomorrow for the 002 Factory.
My question ... is help getting the MOST out of the 002.
Signal path , looking at neve 1073 (brent Avrill) and maybe a Sumitt Tube comp. What can i do to get the best signal in and coming back out of the 002.
I'm talking with Apogee Monday (Rosetta, mini me , mini dac,etc).
I am also considering rather than the 002 , the 002R and using a digital console so i can use internal processors (gates/copms/fx) and mixing in stems. Then either going back into ProTools or to a Masterlink or my Dat depending.
I am workinf with a few well know music supervisors who have taken a likeng to my music and I need to submit the best quality I can on my budget. I and a few friends have worled my 001 to death. Enhanced my mixes at different rooms going back through SSL , API consoles , GML EQ's , Manley , etc. which helped , but I can't always pull favors or in to much of a rush to get something out on schedule.

Any help or advise is of course appreciated !!!!!!!!!!
