Unhappy change of sample rate on delta 1010lt causes delayed write error

Hi,

I just want to see if anyone else has had this happen to them. And to warn others of one click that can break your HD. I'm not sure if this is only an issue with my type of soundcard or a wider problem.

Whilst trying to solve a latency issue I (probably stupidly) changed the buffer sample size of my delta 1010lt from 128 to 64 whilst having a session running. This immediatly cut off the sound and my pc froze. It was only after switching my external OWC firewire drive off that the pc unfroze and I received a delayed write error.

This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time resulted in constant delayed write erros and the HD being completely broken, at the time I thought it was my cheapo firewire port that had caused it (since replaced with a digi recommended port). I have my fingers crossed that this 2nd time I got away with as the drive seemed ok once i'd switched it back on but I havent fully road tested it yet to check for lasting damage.

I'd like to know if anyone else has had this happen to them.
