I use the previous lynksys 54G router with great results(without speedbooster), but I do not have my PT machine on the internet. I just don't like to risk my audio machine with all the trojans, worms and such floating around out there. Just curious, with all the talk about the AMD 64 setup, why did you go with a P4? Anyway, if you are going to have internet access on your PT machine, get a good firewall(the WIndows firewall is NOT a good one-not even SP2). If the price is not much more, I would say get the speed-booster anyway, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money on it.

P4 runs cooler and therefore the heat sink is more efficient and most importantly, the PC runs completely quiet. I have great firewalls and anti adware (if there is such a beast). I'll backup everything on an ext HDD anyway. I also got it because AMS has a great Rain Element Audio PC that can be purchased with 5-payments, no interest, nicer than plunking down $1700 cold cash. Free shipping and no tax.
