I have (so far) been very happy with this release. I have no significant complaints. This from someone who loves to complain.

Not for internet. For networking. Probably not necessary in a laptop but it's the only port critique I have. Anyone who could use it would probably have a dock anyway.

Man, I need to move to Finland! Here in Greece I pay 19 euros a month for (what feels like) kilobit internet...

Yes I have a 10 ethernet on my 2020 iMac I don't know if 10 GB it is required to run my Avid Carbon but yes apparently it involves adaptors to go from ethernet to TB on the laptops

I doubt you actually need the data-rate of 10GbE ethernet for the carbon but afaik there are no non-10GbE adapter that support AVB.

Be aware of this when purchasing adapters for USB-C to use with your Carbon. It needs to support AVB, which not all models do. As I can see on the Apple store they now offer a "Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" as an option to purchase with the new MacBook Pro. Not sure if this specific model has a compatible chipset.

I am using the original Apple Thunderbolt to 10GbE adapter, which needs an additional Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, but that is what AVID recommends.
