Default I just want to clarify Can I run HD 9/10 with no cards and with only my Mbox Pro (3)?

Dism was so kind to give me "yes" as an answer but I would just like multiple confirmation if I could.

I want to run HD without any cards at all...not native...not HDX or PCI or PCIe...only piece of hardware is Mbox Pro 3. Can I do this?

On a side note...I've been pretty perturbed about this update and the lack thereof, but PT is a great DAW and I love it to death. 64bit...Freeze...more instrument tracks...folders for tracks and stability of course and PT will be the PERFECT daw.

PT10HD software is not available without a hardware purchase. If you would like HD10 features without any HD hardware ownership, you should purchase the "Complete Production Toolkit".

The answer is yes, you can. I have HD 9 and I've run it with no interface, with a 003, with a Duet 2, and an Mbox 3.

However, as Tom mentioned, you can't just go buy it, you have to have own some kind of HD system.

In my case, I bought the HD Native card several months ago, which came with the HD software. I have not installed the card because I don't yet have a Mac Pro, so that's why I've been using it other ways.

Pro Tools HD software authorization with non-HD hardware becomes Pro Tools and CPTK.
