Hi,

All wrapped instruments are not working when inserted on an instrument track in PT7!!

Works fine on audio track and when midi track is routed the old way etc!?

Spectrasonics Atmosphere doesn't work on an instrument track either. Fine on the audio/midi track way.

Are you sure that you're setting these up properly?

You have to insert the instrument on the track, then make sure you're showing the MIDI portion of the instrument track (View>Mix Window>Instruments - or you can do it in the Edit Window) and make sure the output of the MIDI section is set to the proper instrument.

Yes i checked all that, the midi is coming in fine, but not getting to the plugin!

It is working ok with indigo/mach 5/sampletank, but not with anything wrapped and not with trilogy rtas either!!

all wrapped stuff seems to be working on audio/midi as per normal!(except virtual guitarist wrapped that asks to be re-installed etc? i have tried re-setting the contents path but no joy, probably fxpansion wrapper needs an update!!)

Yes, it is definitely set up correctly.

It works on some things not others.

On NI Akoustic Piano, Absynth 3, B42, it works fine, on Elekric Piano, B4, Pro 53, FM7, Kompakt, Kontact it deosn't.
It meters the midi input ok but nothing gets passed to the plug. In fact if you press the keyboard on the plug no sound emits.
This is the same on Atmosphere, no sound if you press preview, drag the plug to an audio track press preview and you get sound!
Like wise the same with the NI stuff.

Also opening sessions created on 6.9.3 crashes 7.0, it seems to be that HTDM instances of plugins, EchoBoy and Elekric Piano are, for sure, culprits. If it is a RTAS versions that are already loaded there is no problem. This is proving a bit of a problem. Any suggestions? I've tried creating new sessions and importing but that's fine until I come accross a culpit and then 7.0 crashes.
I've got 4 large sessions that are proving troublesome.

Ok, can you give us a complete step by step of how you're using the Instrument track and instanciating the plug-ins?

Also, please let us know which versions of the plug-ins you're using. You may want to double check that you're using the absolute latest version for all those plug-ins as there may be issues using earlier versions.

Latest versions is critical - especially w/ NI stuff.

Virtually all my VI's are working fine, with a couple exceptions, that might not be related to 7....

Yes Rail, instrument track has it's correct midi input assigned. As I said before it only happens certain plugs, so I know that it's set up properly.

This works:
1. Create stereo instrument track.
2. Select stereo RTAS plug in of Akoustic Piano version 1.1.1.001
3. Assign midi input on instrument track to Akoustic Piano midi channel 1
4. All is well

This doesn't work:
1. Create stereo instrument track.
2. Select stereo RTAS plug in of Elekric Piano version1.0.2.037
3. Assign midi input on instrument track to Elektric Piano midi channel 1
4. All is not so well. No sound availible even by playing the plugs keyboard, midi input is metering nicely?

I'll compile a list of what works and what doesn't work at a later time but I've given mentioned a few in my previous post.

No, I mean an AUDIO INPUT -- unless you assign an Audio Input a wrapped plug-in may not pass signal. Also remember that some companies use the wrapper for their soft synths without telling you.
