Force a clip to re-cache
10.7.2
PT10.0.1 So I'm trying working in interleave sessions which I quite like. I also prefer to use external editors for various reasons for various tasks, most noteably the stand-alone version of RX2. So I have my timeline cached into RAM, and do a fix in the Finder using RX2 stand-alone and save the file (overwriting). So the file is fixed, but of course Pro Tools is playing back from the RAM cache which is playing back the old "version" of the file. It would be great in this case to be able to singly force Pro Tools to re-cache this clip from disk. In the past I never would attempt to edit a file that Pro Tools was referencing, but with interleave sessions I can see myself doing this more & more, especially with RX2 stand-alone which is so much more productive (for me) than using it in plug-in mode. |

Re: Force a clip to re-cache
Only way is to re-cache the whole session by changing the cache size. You probably knew this already but thought I'd mention it for anyone else.
You'll also need to recalculate Waveform overview. |
