Original BFD and PT8 ?
I understand that the Original BFD is not compatible with PT8.
I understand that BFD Lite is compatible. I do not want to invest into BFD2 at this time. I am mostly recording real drums but would like to get to my extensive BFD library/expansion packs through Drumagog. Is there a big differance between BFD (original) and Lite that prohibits me from loading all of my BFD content and using it successfully with BFD Lite and/or Drumagog. What is the basic difference between Lite and the Original Versions (pre 2.0 release) Ross |

BFD works fine for me with PT8.

Re: Original BFD and PT8 ?
Lite only comes with 3 kits, and you cannot route the drums to its own track. There is a workaround I use, which I can go into detail to get a single track for each drum, but since you just needed the specifics on differences, I think that's the only big one. Or two.

Re: Original BFD and PT8 ?
The Drumagog connection requires the full version; it cannot be used with the "lite" version of BFD.
As well as the differences jmitchell stated above, the "Lite" version can only be run as a plugin in Pro Tools. There are no standalone or VST versions (at least not with the one provided with PT).

Re: Original BFD and PT8 ?
I have and use the full versions of both BFD and BFD2 in PT8. BFD2 handles RAM a bit better but both work fine.
