Mic suddenly muffled and low volume

2 days ago I was recording a song using my blue yeti x usb mic and everything sounded super clear and great, then I went to record the next day and suddenly when I listened to the vocals I recorded, I sounded quieter and muffled. This happened once before to me and within a day or two it fixed itself but I don't know what to do. if anyone can help please it would mean so much.

Are you sure you're singing into the front of the mic?(seen this too many times to not ask) My personal recommendation is to skip USB mics in favor of a decent "regular" mic and a separate interface. Or, if all you are doing is podcasting, try Audacity or Reaper(at least enough to figure out if Pro Tools is the problem). Does Blue have drivers or are you trying to run ASIO4ALL? Give us some details on the computer.

Hey man first of all thank you a lot for trying to help me out. Second of all, yes I do use ASIO4ALL. And I have the blue yeti X which doesn’t require any drivers. Literally I was recording vocals one night and it sounded clear, but then the next night it sounded very muffled. And you’re right about the USB mic, I should’ve gotten a regular more professional mic instead of a USB but at the time I didn’t know as much as a do now lol. I started to record a new song and the vocals are pretty good on there but not as clear as the other ones but it’ll have to do until I get a better mic that’s not USB. And I’m sure some EQ could help fix the problem too.
