Default Sticky labels for S1 colour keys.

Is anyone using label machine tape to label their user softkeys on the Avid S1? Bit hesitant because of glue residue that could mess up the surface. What's your experience with Dymo labels? Safe to use or "burnt in" sticky mess after a while?

What's safe to use to clean the S1?

Thanks!

You could try vinyl stickers. No adhesive and it might stick to the buttons. Just a thought

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I need to use the "grey matter" below the buttons. I have two layers of softkeys set tup so the actual buttons are too small to carry those labels.

So the stickers need to go either next to the buttons or below.

Avery makes surface safe printable labels. I can’t say for certain they’d be safe on the S1 but you could always try them on the underside of the S1. That way if it does leave some residue (which I doubt) you won’t see it on top.

Perhaps someone else will chime in who’s used labels on the surface.

Personally, I would never use any glue type adhesive sticker on the S1. It’s bound to make some kind of mark over a long period of time stuck on the surface.

aaaah, good call on trying the underside. Hadn't realised that it has the same coating. I'll try that.

Thanks!

Frank.
