mbox pro 3rd and Protools 10.01 on mac OSX 10.7.3
Hi All
I have installed my macbook pro on a new ssd disc, with Mac OSX 10.7.3 and the newest ProTools version 10.01 I use the soundcard mbox pro 3rd. I can't sellect my soundcard to record from, i have sellected the mbox pro on the playback and set it to the Mbox pro 3rd in the input and output. But it don't work. If i try to sellect a input source on a track, i can see my internal soundcard with my internal microphone and the internal input. I can't see my MBox pro 3rd soundcard. I have set my default soundcard in the sound preferences in mac OSX to MBOX pro 3rd. It works on my old setup with osx 10.7.2. but what can i do, so it will work now. Thanks in advance. Best regards Jorgen |

Check again Setup-> I/O Setup could be you must asign the input/output tracks manually.

Re: mbox pro 3rd and Protools 10.01 on mac OSX 10.7.3
Hi Again
I have tryed that, but it don't work. I can play sound from itunes or other programs to my mbox pro 3 soundcard. On my old setup i should find my mbox 3 pro in my input source on a track, but after i have maked a new installation on my new ssd disc, i can only find my internal soundcard on my input source. Is it possible to do something, so i can find my Mbox pro again in my input source on my track. What can i do? Thanks in advance. Best regards Jorgen |

I told you you need to download a seperate driver. It will fix all your problems. I will now also search Avids horrible site and post a link for you.

Here is the link
http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...n&DocType=1450 You have to scroll down the page a little and click on Mbox Pro 3 gen of drivers. Which is under FireWire devices. I say this because the USB drives are above the Pro on the page. And could be confusing |

Re: mbox pro 3rd and Protools 10.01 on mac OSX 10.7.3
Hi Jorgen,
First go to Setup - Playback engine and choose your Mbox Pro and click OK. Then, as suggested, go to Setup - I/O Setup and choose the input page and then click Default. Do the same on the output page. Any help? -matts |
