Default MBox Mini Problem

If there is anyone else with an MBox Mini, I am having an annoying mic gain problem, i can only get a strong signal hard right, but its too strong and clips and i have to tell people to move back, but then i get too much room feedback.. Anyone know if there is a fix to this?
