Default simple PT Usage on Mb Air 13 ?

So, I'm planning to buy a Macbook Air 13 Inches , the bigger one for 1200 Euros and add the 8gb ram:

1,4 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2,7 GHz)
8 GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
256 GB PCIe basierter Flash-Speicher

Will that enable me to run PT11 on it smoothly since I just use PT with one to two instrumental tracks and just some Vocal Dubs?
90% will be Vocals and just a little bit of mixing them.
Nothing professional, just for personal growth and development.

Before you stop me and tell me I should get a Pro, the most expensive one and get a SSD : I'm on a tight budget and just want this simple task to operate smoothly. Can I expect that? Recording on an internal drive has never been a problem, not even on the [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]ty Windows I'm using currently.
The space problem shouldn't be a real problem, I'm probably gonna use an external drive and copy the stuff on that so I only got the most important stuff on my Macbook.

Thoughts?

I would spend that money on a refurbed MacBook Pro i7 quad core. You'll get much better performance, especially with VI's

I'm really, really interested in the refurbished macbook idea. Where's a professional shop/seller/place for those? ( do you happen to live in germany, or maybe a website that ships international?)

What should I look out for? Are refurbished ones the same as used?

Im looking forward to your answer.

Also lol to the bike comment

Thanks a lot.

my last question would be, how much space do I really need? If that Macbook pro is great but just has 128 gb of space, can I just use an external to kind of store things like big music samples or other stuff I don't need all the time?

There's nothing wrong with AIR but if you can spend a little more, buy yourself an i7 CPU and at least 8GB memory. That is the basic requirement for running PT11 smoothly.

In case you cannot record to the internal SSD (but I believe you can) there is always the possibility to add external drives and get the job done.

Current AIR is very capable computer. I have had success with lowly PowerBook G4 667MHz (single-core!) more than 10 years ago. But if you can, upgrade that processor to i7.

Thank you for your input. What do you think about the internal drive having only 128 gb ?

OS fits in there nicely. Few projects too, maybe? You can always use externals so that is a non-issue
