Default select region (take) with mouse shortcut

I am sure i have not imagined this . But is there a way to select a a region/take from a list of takes by simply clicking on the region with the mouse and a key modifier. I am postive i used to be able to do this and i cannot figure out what it is.

Something like cmd+shift and right click... I seem to remember it may be specific to what tool you have selected at the time.

The desired action, is for a small sub menu of all your recorded takes to pop up, so i can then choose the take i want.

Anyone remember what this one is.

cmd-shift? Are you running a Mac? If so you are in the Windows section of the forum. In any case, I;m not clear on what you are trying to acheive here. Are you trying to use playlists to create a comp track? If yes, you highlight the region you want and hit the up arrow at the left end of that playlist(right next to the playlist solo button).
