Default waves plug ins preset menu

I have a bunch of plug in settings in the preset menu for my waves plugs. i didnt save them to a file, just selected "put into preset menu as.." under save. how do I get rid of these? there are far too many. also under all of my other plug ins all of the factory presets are gone, how can i get these back? i searched all over my harddrive finding out how to do both of these and have found nothing. should i reinstall everything? this is really starting to make using plug ins a hassle

To get access to your settings you need to reset the path to the root directory where the plugin settings are. This should be Library-Application Support - Digidesign - plugin settings.

In this path you can delete the settings from that folder. I suggest creating a new folder with the name Old Settings or something like that and drag them in - just in case.

to delete Waves user presets...
hold command (apple) + option key and click on "load" button on the plug-in.
this will offer the option of deleting user presets
(I always have trouble remembering this trick. Waves does a good job of hiding this info)
