I may be late to the party on this thread, but I had the same problem with one of my sessions a couple of days ago. I handled it by removing unused clips in that session. That particular session was "edit heavy" and I'd done a lot of "slicing and dicing" so I had a clips list a mile long. It worked like a charm for me; hopefully it will for anyone who has a similar issue.
