I don't think you'll see a rework of the gui. I think Carnes has left the company and don't know how much of his documentation iZotope really has. It was on sale (and may still be) at the Plugin Boutique link posted earlier here.

And to add to this there's some crossgrades to some iZotope products available through AD as well. Found out about that in an email I got from AD this morning.

The only EA plugin I never managed to use though.
I bought it yesterday and have a Beatlesq/early 60s song we've been working on. I added a vocal slapback preset just under the verb (separate send) we had on the vocal and it was magic with no tweaking, just what the song needed. I've been using Phoenix Verb for years, but never tried Excalibur. Glad I got it.

I paid $99 for Phoenix Verb, the thing these prices do Is allow me to get more assets for different iLoks/machines. I’m happy!
