Default TDM Sample player with NO LATENCY?

Hi,
I need a TDM compatible sample player with no latency.
Does it exist?

There is always latency in the digital world. I bet the Samplecell card is close to what you're aiming at...Not bad latency, direct connection though TDM to Pro Tools.

I read somewhere that the Emagic sampler had no latency at all....

If this is what you've heard - I'm afraid it's a wee bit inaccurate.

When recording (i.e. playing samples and recording the MIDI triggers) you will have the latency of your audio system (TDM or Native).

However when you're playing back Emagic claim (and I have no reason to doubt them) sample accurate timing - which is what I think you may have heard.

Hope this helps

PS: Agree with the earlier post - SSC rocks, easy to use, and as I use the PT s/w better for me - particularly love that when I save a session the ssc bank and settings are linked in - open the session, and SSC will load correctly

I’ve been extremely happy with Unity DS-1 going through Direct Connect. The latency is not that bad. Only occasionally do I feel the need to shift the tracks forward.
