Exclamation Performance issues with i5 Laptop running ProTools 8.04cs2 LE

The DAE is telling me (multiple error codes) that it can't read data from the machine's internal hard drive or from the EDSI-connected external drive. My system information is pasted below from SiSandra clipboard.

The machine is around 2 years old, and I run the usual Microsoft Office, etc. plus a program to Norton online backup.

I was trying to playback a recording session of 5 instrument tracks plus the usual faders and master, and ProTools keeps failing.

Is there a standardized system optimization I could do to help ensure my machine can execute this software?

thanks!!!!!!!!

Michael
