Default When will earlier version be compatible with all Interfaces?!

Hey guys! A huge problem is that only the Mbox, M-audio, Racks and HD-hardware works with the earlier versions of Pro Tools (earlier than 9).

Why cant they release an update that makes it possible to use ALL interfaces? It's so frustrating that you have to upgrade a version you like, because of the hardware - instead of the Software it selve.

Any idea how to 'yell' this up, so Avid will think about an sollution to this?

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one...

Why would Avid spend money on something that would enable you to not buy an upgrade?

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Have to agree. Lots of great deals on used Mboxes, 002 or 003's with older software(so you can get up and running on a budget). With the release of PT10, there should be some good deals on PT9 as well.
