Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
Are you sure you are using a thunderbolt 3 cable and not a usb-c cable? I've seen people screw this up before because they will both fit.

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
Yes I’m sure about the Thunderbolt cable because I succeeded in seeing a mtrx II that I had. The dad driver setup can see the mtrx ii but not the mtrx studio I had just setup with the same computer and same cable.
The thinderbolt module is seen by the dadman software so it seems to be properly installed so I dont know where the issue could be. |

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
I see your issue now.
You aren't running the right firmware for the MTRX Studio. You should be on firmware 1.1.3.1 or, at least, the bare minimum of 1.1.1.5. Not 1.0.3.1 (?) Of, if you just mistyped, swap the thunderbolt modules between your MTRX II and the Studio (they are the same) and see if the issue follows since you have 2.

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
Just an added note to mention. Highly recommended NOT to use the migration assistant, which we've seen can cause a condition where the MTRX TB3 driver does not find and load the device correctly.

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
I installed the Thunderbolt 3 Card on my MATRIX Studio but the mac does not see it. I also installed the drivers and asio driver but I can not see it.
When I connected it the mac told me that it was not possible to use this Thunderbolt device... what can I do? thanks Sistem: Mac Studio M1 Ultra Sonoma 14.15 |

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
Greetings,
Lot's of oddities here... You installed an ASIO driver on a macOS system? You are running macOS 14.15? Please post some screen grabs so we can try and assist. best, Jeff |

Re: DAD TB Driver not seeing the TB3 card
A few more quick best practices on this issue as we chat with more customers in the wild.
(A) if on macOS, don't use Migration Assistant. Build your new system fresh. (B) Don't use a TB2 based computer like a 6,1 Mac Pro. We've actually seen scenarios where this appears to work for a while with a combination of macOS and TB3 driver - however it will never be approved. Use a qualified TB3 computer. (C) Make sure to Allow the driver to load under Settings > Privacy & Security. best, Jeff |
