Default Shortcut for Region Window Open/Close?

Hi,

Is there any keyboard shortcut for open/close the region window/sidebar?

Thanks,

Daniel

Not exactly, but you can save/recall window layouts (I forget the exact nomenclature). I usually have a couple of different window layout views that are associated with memories. One of those is the widest edit window I can make. By recalling a memory, I can instantly change the view.

You can even tie a Window Config to a Memory Selection (In the Memory Locations window). This way you can set up Zoom settings, Track Show/Hide, Track Heights, etc as well as whether or not the Region Bin window, or any other window is open. Great for switching bet/ DX mix and Sound Edit in the same session.

You can make some shortcuts with OS X Leopard (I think it works with SL too).

You have to put the name exactly is writen in Pro tools menu title. If you go to View > Other displays > you can see that no shortcut is added to Universe, Track List, Regions List and Midi Editor.

Now go to System Preferences -> keyboard & mouse -> Keyboard shorcuts, at the bottom click the plus signal and add a shortcut.

ex: Application (choose) Pro Tools HD

Menu Title - Regions List

Keyboar Shortcut - Alt, Shift, Command, L

I don't think it work with all menu titles that dont have any shortcut in Pro Tools, but for regions List and track list, universe it works. : )

Regards,

Not really a short cut but you can open and close the region bin on the right and the track view on the left by hovering over the line that borders them and double clicking.
