Can you have multiple instances of a virtual instrument (DB33)?
Hello.
I have two instrument tracks, both with DB33. But I can only get one track to respond to my MIDI controller. The other instance of DB33 on the 2nd track will not play: I highlight that track=nothing. I record enable that track=nothing. How do you get PT 8 to switch between the two instances of the same virtual instrument? Also, when I save, close and reopen the session, the midi notes on one track are greyed out, and will not play. What's going on? I thought you could have two or more instances of the same instrument, but maybe I'm mistaken. Thanks, A |

Re: Can you have multiple instances of a virtual instrument (DB33)?
Make sure you select the other instance of DB33. Ususally, when you have more than one of the same instrument, it will show a number next to it. For example, if I had 2 instances of Xpand!, it would show Xpand! - 1, Xpand! - 2, etc.

Re: Can you have multiple instances of a virtual instrument (DB33)?
and you cannot have more then one intruments on the same track.
(or the instruments is in Effekt-Mode aka not makes sounds by itself) also each instrument has its own dedicated input which you have to select manuall on the MIDI OUT of the MIDI channel in PT to which your controller is connected to.

Re: Can you have multiple instances of a virtual instrument (DB33)?
Well, maybe I've discovered a bug.
Because when I select one instance of DB33, it will not sound. I posted a screen shot here: http://decibel-consulting.com/PT%20screen%20shot%201 Right now, I cannot hear the "organ" track, but if I select the "low organ" track, it's all fine. Notice the midi on the organ track is greyed out, and doesn't sound. I don't understand what's going on, so any further thoughts are most welcome. Thanks, Avi |

Re: Can you have multiple instances of a virtual instrument (DB33)?
Save the Plug-In Setting and re-instantiate DB-33 with the track named "organ".
