Default Re: 2021.3.1

Why wouldn't Avid leave at least the most recent previous version available in our Master account?

I went back to downgrade to 2020.12 (to get my proper Import Audio and Tab-to-transients functionality back), and only see 2021.3.1 and then all the 2019 updates...no 2020. (Yes, I know it's in the Download Center support page.)

This is why you should save a copy of the download to a safe place.

Avid are aware of tab to transient issue now and are looking into it next week. I have to say they've been very helpful

Previous releases are available at the Avid Download Center, reachable from your Avid account dashboard. See the attached image.

Thanks for replying (and note the last line of my reply that you quoted...)

My point was, all the links for ALL versions should appear in the Master account without having to jump to two separate pages to download.

No. That would be a mess. Do you have any idea how many versions of Pro Tools there are? And some of us have had licenses for a very long time.
It would also lead to people accidentally installing older versions and then complaining.

Avid provide the Download Center.
That is the solution.

My opinion is NONE of the versions should appear there, but instead a link to Avid Download Center. But opinions do vary...

I’d be down with that as well. Now, it’s hunt and peck. One clear link to Download Center right in your Master acct, with an explanation that all previous versions are there? Yes, please.

I'd rather only see the latest version there, with subsequent versions elsewhere. The way things are now feels right to me.

The metering is no longer accurate with the audio.

After this newest update I notice my master fader metering shows up substantially behind when I hear my kick drum for example- the spike shows up about half a second late.

I've never seen this issue before, and my last plugin in the chain is to my TC Electronic Clarity M, which if you don't know of is an external display that shows various metering options. The TC is fine and shows up right on time with the audio. I'll post about this in a new thread.
