PT 2021.6.0 Asks for iLok Activation

I installed PT 2010.6.0 after uninstalling PT 2021.3.1 on my Windows 10 20H2 PC. When starting up PT it asks for an iLok activation. When it gets to prompt to select the location of the license, it clearly shows my iLok2 but I am unable to select it. My perpetual license is up to date and clearly has been activated on my iLok (since 2014).

I had to uninstall PT 2021.6.0 and reinstall PT 2021.3.1. Please advise!

And, yes my iLok2 is in a USB 2.0 slot. PT 2021.3.1 works great!

With your iLok connected, in iLok License Manager, right-click on your Pro Tools 2021.6 license and select “Deactivate” … it takes a short time …
Your license will move from your iLok to your iLok Account – viewable in “Available licenses”

In “Available licenses”, right-click on your Pro Tools 2021.6 license and select “Activate” … again, wait a bit

In iLok License Manager’s LH column, right-click on your iLok and select
“Synchronize” … wait for the process to complete
Once done, log out of iLok License Manager

Restart computer

Launch Pro Tools

Thanks unkJE! I followed your instructions to the letter 2 times but got the same pop-up to activate PT license. It sees my iLok but I can't select it. Oh well, back to PT 2021.3.1.

If you haven't already -

Deactivate all other Pro Tools licenses, apart from 2021.6

Synchronize iLok

Restart computer

Launch Pro Tools

Did you try these two ways to activate a license:

Right-click the license then select activate from which during the process you will need to select the activation location which is your iLok key

Or you can also simply drag-and-drop the license from the Available tab to your iLok key

Thanks unkJE! Everything is fine on my iLok. I just cannot get past this new activation pop-up on PT 2021.6.0. I have never seen that before in the 10+ years I have been using Pro Tools. PT 2021.3.1 works great for me and this might just be my final version of Pro Tools as Windows 10 might be my final version of windows (Microsoft...grrrr)!

I think I found the problem. Avid has not updated the release limit on my iLok to 3/31/2022. It still says 3/20/2021 and I purchased a Pro Tools Update & Support plan on 3/31/2021 which now expires 3/31/2022. I started a support case to hopefully solve this problem.

Scroll down in your Avid Master Account to where you can link your iLok account - have you already done this?
