Default Saving Waves Presets - best method?

I noticed that you can save Waves presets just like any other plugin (user, default, root folder....). But Waves has its own proprietary load/save method.

Which way is better?

And for that matter, with other plugins, do you prefer to save presets in the root folder or in the project folder?

Thanks,

Default Re: Saving Waves Presets - best method?

I try to save both ways. When saving with the plug-in save button it's easier to recall a saved setting. Saving in a root folder allows one to recall a Q6 setting into a Q10 plug, for example.

Setting management: one can save the latest saved preferences in the plug, but save ALL settings in the folder(the list can get long)...user preference kinda' things, really.

Mind you I'm on older software, so I'm not familiar with the behavior of the latest versions.
