Default Re: Perserve Folder Hierarchy?

If you have audio which you have had to split across multiple drives/folders, this Saves the session with audio in folders named for the drives/folders where the original audio was stored.

For instance, I have a 96 track session. I have to split it across 4 firewire drives (Drive_A, Drive_B, Drive_C, Drive_D) for mixing. When I do a Save Session Copy (preserving heirarchy) I get a backup that has audio in 4 folders (called Drive_A, Drive_B, Drive_C, Drive_D). So I can archive the session and if I need to remix I can easily restore the audio to multiple drives. Saves a lot of work that gets ruined by a normal Save Session Copy.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

Sounds like you should go out and buy more drives!

That is a cool feature. Simple, yet very cool.

Generally speaking, I should always check this box then. Better for organizational purposes.

Any downside to always checking this box?
