Default Macintosh HD error message

Protools 7.3.1 has just started acting strange. Haven't had any real issues since I purchased the system on April 07 (Mac Pro, Control 24, 002 rack Factory, TL Audio Ivory, KRK Rokit 8 Monitors and other odds and ends).

As of yesterday, every time I tried to bounce a file or create a new track I get the error message - "Macintosh HD" is not an audio playback volume...

Have looked at permissions and all seems well there. Everything is set to "Read/Write" where its supposed to be.

I cannot find any info in the Knowledge base or the LE help or the 101 manual.

If anyone has any experience with this problem I would be very grateful for any help offered.

Check the volume in the workspace window. That is where the playback/transfer status can be set.

Checked the volume in the Workspace window. Could not find anything that related to the playback/transfer settings.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

In the workspace window, it is column "A"..

You want your recording drive(s) to be set to "R"

This stuff is in the Reference guide

Thanks flommer, that worked a treat.
I'm sorry if i caused you a little frustration, but even though the info is in the Reference manual, if your not sure what your looking for it does get a little harder to find..

Thanks again for the help
