Default session sent with files up sampled playing back faster

I was sent a session, several songs, to mix. the raw files were accidently upsampled to 48k and are playing back too fast. what is the best way to get them to play back at the right speed. Will bringing them in to a 44.1 session do it or do I have to rerender them down before import. thanks.

I think I've got it. I created a new 44.1 session and imported session data with COPY all audio files BUT UNCHECKED THE USE SRC SAMPLE RATE BOX. The sessions files now play back correctly, which for me is slower.

thx

the other option would be to use the Workspace to edit the Sample Rate data in the files

Craig would I do that in a 48k session or a 44.1 session?

the files are now 48k playing faster..they were I guess originally 44.1k
thx

should work for any version of 7 onward

with no session open change the 48 to 44.1, fixing the miss-stamed metadata
make a new session at 44.1 and import

also works for sound design work to play a file off speed, but I recommend making a copy of the file for that
