Default Digi001 & CM Motor Mix

I just purchased a CM Automation Motor Mix. (Their brochure is in the OO1 box.) It's pretty good. But, it tends to sproadically drop the signal and the Shift button does not always work.

Has anyone worked with this piece, or have any suggestions?
