Using plugin as channel insert PLEASE HELP
I'm new to venue. Everything makes sense and went smooth. But I can't get plugin working. Plugins on aux work just fine like revibe and etc. But every time I put something on channel insert, it just doesn't work. I made sure it's IN and active. But no luck. For example, I put Smack on snare channel, but I don't see any input metering moving on Smack. What am I forgetting here??

Re: Using plugin as channel insert PLEASE HELP
Are you driving enough level into the channel (use gain guess, it's your best friend). I typically start with a factory setting under Smack to get a ball park then adjust as needed.

Re: Using plugin as channel insert PLEASE HELP
I find with Smack in particular that you need to crank the input to the plugin pretty high, at least setting it at 6 or 7 with the output at 4 or 3 to balance things out. Along with a proper gain stage to the channel in the first place you should be set.
