Will MBox 2 Mini Work...
on my desktop computer? I've been looking at the MBox 2 Mini for ages, but I'm not sure how well it would work on my computer, if at all.

Re: Will MBox 2 Mini Work...
It looks like it SHOULD work to me, but please get a few more opinions. In any case, you still need a separate recording drive(a partition is NOT a separate recording drive). Assuming this is a desktop computer, you can probably install another hard drive internally, which is the cheapest fix, and gives the best performance. If you can't fit another internal, then be aware that USB drives are NOT supported, firewire drives MUST have an Oxford 9xx chipset, your firewire port MUST use a TI chipset(if you have no port, then a 3rd party card is needed), and eSATA should work fine(if you have an eSATA port).

Re: Will MBox 2 Mini Work...
You have a respectabke quad core, 8 gigs of ram...(more than most users on this forums) Yes. It will work, and quite well once you complete your optimizations
Ps get a WD Caviar Black drive to record to Nick
