Default pre & post roll recording

how do you change the pre & post roll recording settings?
some how some of my sessions have the post roll set to 23 mill sec, and when I hit record it takes 3 sec to start recording.
This only happens on sessions with that setting. the sessions with it set to 0 record right away.
I can change it to 0 but it will go back to the 23 each time, it won't stay at 0?

More info about pre/post roll is covered on Page 27 of the Reference Guide
Quote:
To set the pre-roll amount, enter a new
value in this field, or drag the Pre-Roll flag in the
Main Timebase Ruler.
Just make sure that you press "enter" when entering a value in that field or it won't take.

ok th pre and post are at 0, but it is still delayed...the play and record buttons flash about 5 times then it records.
I have sessions with all 32 tracks going and it dosen't do this, only on ones that had the post set to 23. even with only 2 or 3 tracks it delays.
protools sets it from the last open session to your new session. somewhere down the road I imported a sessuin with different settings and when I created a new session ptle remembered the wiered settings. I know now that it isn't the pre poast setting but there is somthing else set different on these sessions.

you did it!
I don't do much with midi so I never have the midi showing on the transport window.
The 2 bars button was on, I clicked it and it records great.
Thanks for the help! I knew it was just a settings thing.
