look under Setup>Hardware and make sure the audiobox is the selected audio engine.

cool. i found it and it works not but there is a new problem! every other time i open pt 10 it tells me that it cannot find the personus then when it finds it i record a vocal it tells me this... "audio processing could not complete due to conflicts with other CPU tasks or a potential clocking issue. if this occurs often, verify your sync cables or try changing the HW Buffer Size setting in the Playback Engine dialog. In most cases, a larger HW buffer size will prevent the problem. (-9129) "
okay i tried the HW sample but there was only one sample. help me dude! lol |

As above. You need another hard drive. Also, integrated graphics CAN be a problem with Pro Tools.(not much you can do if this is a laptop). At the very least, you should review ALL the system tweaks, run PT as administrator, turn OFF AERO, themes and desktop composition and DISABLE the wifi when running Pro Tools.

I'm having a hard time helping a friend with a Presonus Audiobox. The only way we got it to work was to go to the Setup -> Hardware screen, open the control panel, and set the Asio tab System Performance to Relaxed, which is equal to something like 93ms round trip latency. It works but just barely
It works fine with their Studio One Artist software that comes with the interface, but the drivers are garbage as far as I can tell. It doesn't work well with Cakewalk Sonar or Pro Tools 9 (in his case). Nice looking box. Garbage drivers, and no update since 2009 based on the Last Modified date of the files in the download. Hope their VSL interfaces (which are all USB 2.0 where the Audiobox is USB 1.1) have better drivers. Your laptop appears to be very fast. You just got a bum interface. There's a Focusrite 2i2 in the same price range as the Audiobox USB - that's the interface I'd go with at that price unless you really need the MIDI I/O. So many MIDI controllers have built-in USB anymore that I doubt it's worth spending money on the MIDI. |
