playback problems please help!

i have recently purchased a macbook with plenty of everything i need and i use the mbox 2 mini system with LE. Everything works fine except for my playback. while i am recording i can here what i am playing through my headphones and the screen shows that i am recording as the waveforms are appearing as i play in the edit window. BUT, when i go to listen to playback i have no sound. it is still the same sound i get from recording but no playback at all. the cursor moves like it is playing but i hear nothing. Does anyone have any sugestions?

In the meantime shooting in the dark try,

1. Powered monitors (active) connected to Mon outs and switched on?
2. Mix control turned clockwise? Monitor volume up?
3 . Track output active and set to mix bus (1&2)?
4. Track fader up?

I have a brand new macbook. I have pro tools LE. I have a Mbox 2 mini. i have no monitors, but i have headphones hooked up and i use them as the monitors. While recording onto my mac i can hear what i am recording in real time just perfect. The problem is that when i go to playback what i have just recorded there is no sound. I cannot here my playback. this is similar to another tread but it had to do with his monitors not working. So, if anyone can help it would be amazing because there has to be some explanation.

Also i used to run protools on my dell and everything worked like it should have, i only have problems with my mac.

Do you get ANY sort of playback sound from your Mbox mini? At first glance, it sounds as though you may have the mix knob cranked all the way to the input side (to the left). If that's the case, turn it to the right, more toward the playback side.

i get no sound at all, but yes i do have the knob turned all the way to the right

What happens with the Mix control at 12 o'clock?

Is the Headphone volume turned up?
