Default Running Out of CPU Power

This message is back again in full glory in PT6.1.

I'm on a Dual 1G. I have 1256 RAM.

Sometimes I have only ONE RTAS plug in (say STYLUS or the like) . Sometimes NONE when I get the "Get Rid of Some RTAS Plugs or increase CPU usage" message. I already have the CPU set to 99 per cent.

This is just a bug, right??

Tom,

Have you install DAE 6.1cs1? This should help reduce 6031 errors when you are not using RTAS plug-ins.

You can download DAE 6.1cs1 on the 6.1 update page:

Jaysun/Tech Sup

The link you listed is a 9.2.2 extension. The topic starter was asking about 6.1. I assume he is using OSX. Is there a comparable patch for OSX? I have days when I have no -6031s and then today it happens every few minutes. Same setup...

OSX PT6.0.1
Dual 1.25g 512ram
Atto 160

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Thanks Mike, but the download page cautions you against using ANY RTAS plug ins with this version of DAE, which defeats the purpose of me upgrading my old computer

I do use a fair amount of RTAS plugs when mixing, but I have gotten this message even when using none, or just one, during tracking sessions.

You know, oddly enough, my cpu seems more taxed under OSX/PT 6.1 than it was with OS9.2/PT5.1.3 (just did the upgrade today). Maybe it's not PT, maybe it's the operating system or dual processors themselves, because it also exhibited this behavior when running Reaktor standalone. I can easily run most all Reaktor synths on my tibook, but some of the basic synths were crapping out my dual 533. Curious indeed.

I'm running a G4 dual 533mhz.
