Default No input received in Pro Tools Intro

Hi,

Pro Tools Intro (2022.9) is not able to catch any of my inputs signal (RME Digiface USB).
It does work great with Reaper. Pro Tools has access to the microphone in the privacy settings. I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Any idea?

I expect it's working as (badly) designed. Pro Tools Intro supports 4 inputs, it's only allowing that to be the first 4 physical inputs and has no way built in to manage that mapping. All pretty stupid given Pro Tools includes a rich IO setup capability. In a quick test also looks like it supports only the first 4 outputs.

But looking at what you are doing the fix is trivial/obvious. Move the ADAT 3 input TOSLINK to ADAT 1.

And given usability silliness like this, Avid is spending money to convince people not to use their products. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (You'll be hard pushed to convince me that a free tier was ever a good business/marketing idea... especially when so many new users are likely to need support/hand holding... and they can't get it. Four different tiers, that just ain't a good idea).

Hii

Yes, I can also confirm that Pro Tools Intro and RME Fireface UFX III is not a good combination.

...Pro Tools Intro supports 4 inputs, it's only allowing that to be the first 4 physical inputs.

The first pre-amp on a RME Fireface UFX III is channel 9.
So a friend of mine had to upgrade from Pro Tools Intro to Pro Tools Artist.

BANG it it worked immediately!!!

Just my 2 cents; you bought a very good interface. Why hamstring it with cheap/free software? Grab a license for Pro Tools Artist
