possible to remap transport key on Artist Control?

Am I right that the transport soft keys around the jog wheel on the Artist Control are locked to those functions? I assumed since you can map the wheel in the Wheel page as desired that these keys could be mapped as well even though the graphic is of an Artist Transport on this page.... but changing the mapping of these keys in the editor doesn't seem to affect the Artist Control. I can execute these commands very quickly with my keyboard so it doesn't really make sense to waste 5 perfectly good buttons on them, would love to be able to remap them.
