Midi Input drops out on just Instrument tracks?

Midi Input drops out on just Instrument tracks?

This has happened before and now again today. Out of nowhere the midi input on -Instrument tracks- has stopped responding. However the midi input on -Midi tracks- is still working as normal. This is driving me up the wall, can anyone help? Why is this occuring? How do I fix a session that is having this problem?
