Greetings everyone,
I would like to convert 29.978 FPS to 25.000 FPS via Time Factory II. I did get in touch with Zynaptiq through their contact form but haven't heard back from them in 5 days. Probably no one from Prosoniq is involved with Zynaptiq anymore. Could someone let me know the exact presets for the conversion to take place without any pitch correction ? The end result is a pitched down print under the settings I am Using right now. Best

I use Time Factory II all the time in this scenario. But what I do is make the timing change in Pro Tools by saving the Mix & Stem files in one session, start another and import the tracks but do a Sample Rate convert to achieve the timing change. Once that happens, I verify sync, then import those new files into TF II and pitch correct there. I use the ZTX best settings. I should also add that I don't do this on the full mix, I do it on the stems and then recombine them -- I just found that to sound the most transparent. Hope that helps.

1- Bring your multi-mono files in the correct order that TF likes. (LCRLsRsLF) If it's interleaved stereo, you can use it as is. 2- Select all the channels, right click, convert & join selected files. This will make an interleaved file. 3- In the Experts Setting window, select the FPS tab and enter the in and out FSP (don't enter any pitch setting, but make sure Auto-apply button is ticked). 4- Click Process (For long files I use CoreAudio which creates a .caf file) 5- Export each file as BWF and bring into PT. Watch out for silent frames added at the top (it happens sometimes if it's a long file) |

After I have my time corrected (for the target FPS) and pitch corrected versions of the files, I put them into TF II in SMPTE order - LR, Center Sub, LsRs. Then I select convert and join. That makes an Interleaved SMPTE order .caf file in TF II. I export that as an interleaved WAVE file (that is in SMPTE order). The SRC trick in PT does not cause any silent or empty frames at the head of the file.
